An Accra-based tour executive, Emmanuel Obeng, produced a remarkable performance to win the 2nd Senchi Invitational Golf Tournament held at the Royal Senchi Hotel and Resort golf course in the Eastern Region.
Obeng, a member of the Bok Nam Kim Golf Club, carded an impressive gross score of 65 to beat a strong field of more than 30 golfers and claim the overall title. His victory earned him a trophy and an all-expenses-paid trip to Kenya.
Playing on the Royal Senchi course for the first time, Obeng maintained his composure throughout the five-hour competition before defeating Ghana Golfers Association Vice President Akwasi Poku in a playoff to secure the championship.

Speaking after his victory, Obeng thanked the organisers for staging what he described as a well-organised and successful tournament.
"I feel honoured to have won this competition. The organisers did an excellent job, and I appreciate the opportunity to compete in such a wonderful event," he said.
The tournament was organised by Royal Senchi Hotel and Resort, with Kenya Airways as the title sponsor. Other sponsors included Enashipai Resort, Zaina Lodge, Tale Beer, Bellaire, Glenlivet Whisky, Awake Mineral Water, and D'USSÉ Cognac.
In the Men's Division, Kingsley Landers emerged as the winner with a net score of 50 points, finishing ahead of Ramson Danyo, Nash Antwi, and Akwasi Poku, who placed second, third, and fourth, respectively.
Cathy Fabbi, Lady Coordinator of the Ghana Golfers Association, won the Ladies' Division with 57 points. Ehoma Yaba finished second, while Flora Hurtubise and Leticia Amponsah Mensah placed third and fourth, respectively.
Kingsley Landers and Leticia Amponsah Mensah won the Men's and Ladies' Longest Drive awards, while Richard Torku and Cathy Fabbi claimed the Closest to the Pin honours in the auxiliary contest.
At the awards ceremony, Kenya's High Commissioner to Ghana, Col. Shem Amadi (Rtd), Kenya Airways Senior Country Manager Peter Musola, Royal Senchi Hotel and Resort Managing Director Victor Muthama, and Labadi Beach Hotel Managing Director David Eduaful commended the organisers for hosting a successful tournament and praised participants for their competitive spirit and sportsmanship.
The annual Senchi Invitational Golf Tournament continues to grow in stature, attracting golfers from across the country while promoting golf tourism and strengthening sporting ties between Ghana and Kenya.
