Emmanuel Amoh Obeng and Ramson Danyo produced a remarkable display of teamwork and consistency to win the 2026 World Corporate Golf Challenge Ghana Tournament, held at the Achimota Golf Club in Accra.
Fresh from their recent triumph at the Senchi Open, the duo, representing Experience Ghana Travel and Tour, outperformed more than 70 golfers from various corporate organisations in a fiercely contested championship to emerge as overall winners. Their victory secured Ghana's qualification slot for the World Corporate Golf Challenge World Finals, scheduled to take place in Beijing, China, in October this year.
Played in the tournament's team format, the championship tested strategy, precision, consistency, and collaboration, with teams required to complement each other's strengths over 18 challenging holes. Throughout the competition, Obeng and Danyo demonstrated excellent course management, accurate shot-making, and composure under pressure to finish with 49 points, earning the championship trophy and an all-expenses-paid trip to China.
The event attracted teams representing companies and organisations from the finance, telecommunications, manufacturing, hospitality, insurance, and tourism sectors, highlighting the growing popularity of corporate golf in Ghana.
For Obeng and Danyo, the national title marks another significant milestone in their golfing careers. They will now begin preparations for the global finals in Beijing, where they will compete against national champions from dozens of countries in one of the world's premier corporate amateur golf tournaments.
Ye Luan and Liping Wang finished second, while Andrew Ackah and Kofi Mangesi placed third. Richard Aboagye and Ruben Kordorwu of Bel Aqua completed the top four.
The tournament was headlined by Landers Oil and Gas, with additional support from Office Bureau, Balfour Beatty, GC Brand, Montgomery, Tilly's Farm, Levotude, PwC, Autodream Ltd, Black Star Group, BESL, Micasso, Skylight, Levotude Ghana Ltd, Betika, OmniBSIC Bank, Flopolo Design, Hyundai, Royal Senchi, Travel Desk, Bodiwox, and Dentsu.
