Popular national supporters group, the Die-Hard Supporters Union, has urged the Black Stars B to book the CHAN ticket on Sunday after drawing 2-2 with Burkina Faso in the first leg in Ouagadougou last week.

The group was the only supporters group which travelled to support the team last weekend and commended the relentless efforts of the players to secure a vital away draw ahead of the return leg in Kumasi on Sunday.

The President of Die-Hard, Abraham Nkansah, alias “Apiurugu Chakapamaa”, told the Daily Graphic in an interview yesterday that it was quite a tedious journey to Ouagadougou which was beset with many challenges on the road, but their resolve to support the national team prevailed.

“At the border we were asked to wait for eight hours and we were frustrated by Customs and border agents, but we finally made it to Burkina Faso despite many stoppages on the road by security officials,’ he revealed.

He gave an assurance that the team would throw a bigger support behind the Black Stars B in Kumasi on Sunday, while appealing to corporate agencies for support.

Mr Nkansah expressed gratitude to seven individuals, including three MPs, for their immense support towards the trip to Burkina Faso. They are Messrs Collins Ntim, Anthony Karbo, Titus Glover, David Ekuful, Charles Opoku, Hajiah Fatima Toff-Mensah,  Shaiman Gariba and Julius Kusorgbor.

He charged the Stars B players to make Ghana proud by qualifying to the CHAN tournament in Kenya next year.
