Defender Nicholas Opoku joins Amiens SC on loan

Ghanaian defender Nicholas Opoku has joined French Ligue 1 side Amiens SC on a six-month loan.

The 22-year-old arrives in a deal that includes a €4.5m option to purchase him by Amiens.

Opoku, 22, has played 7 games (514 minutes) the Serie A club this season but has been deemed surplus to requirements at the midway stage of the season.

Born on November 8, 1997 in Kumasi, Ghana, Opoku has had stints with Berekum Chelsea (Ghana), Club Africain (Tunisia) and most recently Udinese (Italy).

The centreback has made six appearances at international level for Ghana's Black Stars.
