They defeated their colleagues from Chorkor 6-5 on penalties to take home a trophy, medals and a certificate of participation given to all participants.

The tournament, which also marked the fifth anniversary of the most potent singing and dancing troupe in the country, attracted over 1,000 supporters.

According to the president of one of the most vocal supporters groups in the country, Abraham Nkansah, popularly known as “Apiurugu Chakapama”, the tournament was to foster unity and bring the numerous members of the union together.

“We are very confident about the prospect of the Black Stars in next year’s World Cup and pray that with our support and that of the entire country, the team could win the World Cup”, he told the Daily Graphic.

He noted that the supporters group had chalked numerous successes this year, including following all the national teams to competitions both within and outside the country.

Mr Nkansah stated that the group would in due course put forward a strategic plan to mass up millions of Ghanaian soccer fans to throw their weight behind the Stars on their journey towards winning the trophy in Brazil.
