Coach Annor Walker names 35-man squad ahead of 2023 CHAN qualifiers

Black Stars B coach, Annor Walker has named a 35-man squad to begin preparation towards the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) qualifiers.

The players are to report to camp at 4pm on Monday, May 30, 2022 at the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence to begin preparation.

Players of Accra Hearts of Oak dominates the squad with seven players while Ghana Premier League leaders, Kumasi Asante Kotoko have three players in the team named.

In-form forward, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Salifu Ibrahim, Suraj Seidu, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen, Mohammed Alhassan, Dennis Korsah and goalkeeper Richard Attah.

Imoro Ibrahim, goalie Danlad Ibrahim and Mudasiru Salifu of Kotoko were all named in the 35-mand team ahead of the team's upcoming preliminary stage encounter with Benin.

The Black Stars B are in search of a ticket to the biennial competition scheduled for Algeria in January 2023.

Ghana have failed to qualify for the tournament in the last three editions and will hope to make another appearance this time around.

The Black Stars ‘B’ finished second in 2009 and 2014 editions of the tournament.
