The bout will be on the undercard of the HBO/Golden Boy Promotions bill co-headlined by Luis Ortiz versus Bryant Jennings and Nicholas Walters versus Jason Sosa.

Clottey (39-4, 22 KOs) is undefeated in his last four bouts since a disappointing loss to Manny Pacquiao in 2010 and will be hoping to chalk-up his fifth victory in four years when he faces the unfancied Rosado.

Conversely, his opponent, Rosado is winless in his last five professional boxing matches which include TKO’s suffered at the hands of Gennady Golovkin and David Lemieux.

However, Rosado at 29 years is nine years younger than Clottey and will be relying on his youthful agility to pull a fast one on the Ghanaian boxer.

“We worked hard to put this card together and we’re very happy with it,” De La Hoya told ESPN.com. “Four really good fights on one card. It will be a great night to end the year with a bang.”

"Clottey is going up a little bit in weight and Rosado is going down a little bit in weight,” De La Hoya said. “Besides it being a good fight, I think the winner will put himself back in line for an even bigger fight with any of the top junior middleweights or middleweights.”
