“We (Chorley FC) are a semi-professional team and the division is National League North, which is five steps below the Premier League.

“We are happy to donate this kit in our own small way to support your club. We hope to forge a fruitful partnership for our mutual benefit in the future,” Mr Watkinson said.

Appreciation

Receiving the kit during a recent visit to the United Kingdom, the owner of Ahafoman FC, Sampson Osei Yaw, said he was very happy to get such an opportunity to associate with a club in the United Kingdom.

“We really appreciate your kind gesture at a time Ahafoman FC needs assistance as we prepare for the 2022/2023 edition of the Brong Ahafo Regional Division Two League,” he added.

He revealed to the Daily Graphic that talks were ongoing toward a partnership between the two clubs.

“As part of the plans, some of our best players could be transferred to Chorley FC to enhance our relationship,” he explained.

Mr Osei Yaw seized the opportunity to engage Chorley FC in discussions when he traveled to the UK for a sports course last month.
