Chelsea are considering a transfer move to sign Richmond Boakye Yiadom from Red Star Belgrade this month, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Blues are keeping a close eye on Boakye’s situation and could add him to a list of potential striker recruits for the January transfer window.

The story says that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is a keen admirer of Boakye, who has been capped 12 times by Ghana.

The same report says that the west London side are also weighing up potential moves for Christian Benteke and Andy Carroll as Antonio Conte aims to bolster his squad this month.

The 24-year-old Boakye has scored one goal in six appearances in the Europa League for Red Star Belgrade this season.

Chelsea are believed to be on the looking for attacking reinforcements this month, with Michy Batshuayi having failed to convince in his role as a back-up striker to Alvaro Morata.

The Blues have already made one signing this window after having completed a deal to bring Everton midfielder Ross Barkley to Stamford Bridge at the start of the month.

Chelsea are currently preparing for their home clash against Norwich City in their FA Cup third-round replay on Wednesday night.
