The Ghanaian champions have been pooled with Huracanes of Equatorial Guinea and AS Mande of Mali in the eight-team competition.

Last Monday's draw in Abidjan placed Ivorian side Atletico FC Abidjan in a tough group which includes South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns, Sporting Club Casablanca, and Tanzanian side JKT Queens.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies qualified for the continental competition after winning the CAF Champions League WAFU Zone B qualifying competition, defeating Delta Queens of Nigeria 1-0 in the final on August 31 in Benin City, Nigeria.

In their journey to the final, free-scoring Ampem Darkoa registered some remarkable victories against Amis Du Monde (4-2), Athletico Abidjan (3-1) and Sam Nelly FC (6-1).

Ampem Darkoa will be making their first appearance in the African Champions League currently in its third year since the maiden tournament in 2021.

The maiden edition saw Ghanaian side Hasaacas Ladies losing the final to champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
