Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa and Uganda’s Kawempe Muslim Ladies will battle for a second consecutive victory and a possible semi-final place when they clash in Group B of the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt on Thursday, November 5.
Both sides go into the encounter at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia with three points following impressive opening victories.
Ampem Darkoa came from behind to secure a commanding 5-1 victory over Mali’s USFAS Bamako, while tournament debutants Kawempe Muslim Ladies stunned defending champions AS FAR of Morocco 3-2.
The encounter will be the first meeting between the two clubs at the competition’s final tournament and the first between Ghanaian and East African representatives.
Ampem Darkoa will be looking to build on their record-breaking opening performance, which produced their biggest victory at the finals and the highest-scoring match of the 2026 tournament so far. Angelina Yeboah scored twice, while Patricia Agyei also contributed a goal and an assist.
The Ghanaian champions will also be seeking to record successive victories at the finals for the first time in their two appearances.

A win would put them in a strong position to reach the semi-finals and make them only the second Ghanaian club, after Hasaacas Ladies in 2021, to win their opening two group matches.
Kawempe, meanwhile, will be aiming to maintain their impressive debut campaign after becoming the first East African club to win its opening match at the competition. Their 3-2 triumph over AS FAR was also a significant milestone, with Agnes Nabukenya scoring twice.
A victory would make Kawempe the first East African side to win its opening two matches at the finals and strengthen their chances of reaching the knockout stage.
The match is scheduled for 5 p.m. local time (3 p.m. GMT).
