CAF CL: Hearts to face CL Kamsar behind closed doors

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has directed that the Champions League preliminary stage match between Accra Hearts of Oak and CL Kamsar be played behind closed doors.

The Match Commissioner today at a pre-match meeting held at the Ghana Football Association the directive is in line with CAF COVID-19 protocols.

As a result, only players and officials of both clubs, the medics for the match, few media persons and matchday stadium attendants will be allowed to enter the stadium for the match.

"In accordance with the CAF COVID-19 Protocols, all persons in inner perimeter of the Accra Sports Stadium will have to present a negative COVID-19 PCR result," a statement issued by the GFA said.

The Ghanaian league champions, Hearts stand the chance of qualifying for the next stage of the qualifiers if they win Sunday’s match.

The tie would be decided by penalty shootouts if it ends in a draw.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 3pm.
