Mr Boham told the Graphic Sports that the National Sports Authority (NSA) must act to put the GBA in check by asking for an account audit.
The renowned boxing administrator believes the Abraham Kotei Neequaye-led GBA administration owes all stakeholders of the sport accountability.

“I am calling for a forensic audit of all GBA accounts because we need to know how our monies are being spent.

“The NSA has the right to call on them to do the needful so that all stakeholders of the sport can know about the finances of the association,” Mr Boham noted.

Many have complained about the lack of transparency by the current leadership of the GBA and Mr Boham believed it was time to call for probity.

Meanwhile, Neequaye says he has been able to sanitise the system since he took over as the GBA boss two years ago.

He blamed the previous administration of misappropriation of funds and believes his administration has worked hard to change that.

When asked about the allegations made by Neequaye, Mr Boham, who was part of the previous GBA administration and once managed boxing legend Ike Quartey during the years of his career, said the only way to ascertain the truth was to have a forensic audit of the association’s finances.

“This shouldn’t be a problem at all because only an audit can tell which monies have been misappropriated or not.”
