Boxing: Cabic Promotions vows to produce world beaters

A new boxing promotion syndicate, Cabic Promotions and Management, has vowed to produce world beaters for the country once again.

It has also promised to sanitise the boxing scene with credible bouts, better management of boxers and better organisation of bouts.

At its outdooring in the presence of some connoisseurs of the sport, including Messrs Ataa Eddie Pappoe, J.A. Annan and Samir Captan, the licensed outfit promised to live by its motto: 'We set the pace against all odds' and make discipline its core value.

The syndicate is the brainchild of two Ghanaian' boxing lovers: Ivan Bruce Codjo as CEO and Ellis Quaye as director.

Mr Bruce Codjo intimated that much as his passion drove him to realise this dream, the entity would be more business-oriented.

"It is my hope that the sport would witness its greatness in the country once more," he stated.

He added that his outfit aimed at giving professional boxing a facelift in the face of the many challenges bedevilling it.

Mr Quaye disclosed that his outfit would the stage its first boxing event on April 7.

He revealed that the Cabic Promotions and Management was in the sport to revive and resuscitate the dying careers of most talented boxers.

The company unveiled two veteran boxers, Patrick Allotey and Emmanuel Quaye. Both boxers will fight under the promotional label of Cabic Promotions and Management after putting pen to paper to seal their respective agreements with the promoter.
