Bofoakwa Tano sack Coach Frimpong Manso amidst poor form

Bofoakwa Tano, a side recently promoted to the Ghana Premier League, has opted to part ways with their coach, Frimpong Manso, citing unsatisfactory results.

The decision follows a string of disappointing performances, with the team securing only one victory in their last five matches.

This move mirrors recent actions in the league, with Hearts of Oak also terminating the contract of Martin Koopman earlier this month.

The dismissal extends to assistant coach, Isaac Kofi Sarfo, signalling the club's quest for a fresh technical direction.

Currently trailing five points behind league leaders Aduana FC, Bofoakwa Tano, despite holding the sixth position, is dissatisfied with recent outcomes.

Making a comeback to the league after 16 years, the club believes it possesses the quality to secure a more favourable standing.

In an official statement, the club expressed gratitude to both coaches for their contributions while conveying well wishes for their future endeavours. The club also acknowledged the continued support of their fans and anticipates promising times ahead.

Bofoakwa Tano now has an opportunity to appoint a new coach before their next game, as they won't be in action this weekend. The scheduled match against Dreams FC has been postponed due to Dreams FC's engagement in a CAF Confederation Cup clash against Club Africain in Tunisia.

Additionally, Bofoakwa Tano is currently serving a temporary ban at their Sunyani Coronation Park due to crowd violence during their recent 0-0 draw against Nsoatreman FC. The incident resulted in the hospitalization of Nsoatreman coach Maxwell Konadu.
