Black Queens striker Doris Boaduwaa joins ŽFK Spartak Subotica

Black Queens forward Doris Boaduwaa has signed a one-year contract with Serbian side ŽFK Spartak Subotica. The club announced on Twitter on Monday, August 7.

The 20-year-old striker joined Spartak Subotica from Ghana Women’s Premier League side, Hasaacas Ladies.

Boaduwaa has been phenomenal throughout her four-year stint with the Hasmal Ladies where she made 58 appearances, scored 35 goals and provided 23 assists.

She was part of the squad that bagged five trophies for the club in 2021 - Women's Premier League title, Women's FA Cup, WAFU Zone B trophy, Women's Premier League Super Cup and the maiden First Lady's Cup. The team also, won silver at the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League held in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

She was a member of the Black Princesses team at the 2022 U-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup held in Costa Rica before graduating to the senior women’s team, Black Queens.

At her new club, she will be working under Serbian coach Boris Arsić. The team has won ten national championships, including nine in a row from 2011 to 2019. It also has appeared in the UEFA Women's Champions League.
