The 38-year-old moved up in weight just to make this fight but after losing on a unanimous decision to the American, the Ghanaian is reconsidering his decision.

" I don't feel comfortable at this weight class, I want to go back down to 154 and continue to fight at junior middleweight," Clottey said after his defeat.

However, despite the outcome of the fight, the former Ghanaian champion believed he gave a good account of himself.

"This was an off night for me, I do think that the fans enjoyed the fight. We are both fighters that do not like to back down", Clottey said.

The 29-year-old Rosado, who was returning to the ring after a year of inactivity, praised Clottey's resillience, describing him as a great fighter and an African warrior.

"I have great respect for Joshua Clottey. He is a great fighter and African warrior".

The American considered Clottey as a tough fighter enough for his debut fight in a year. "Clottey is a tough opponent, former world champion, definitely a challenge for me in my first fight".

Until this fight, Clottey boasted an enviable 39 wins in his career with 22 by way of knockout, losing just five and, based on that record, he was sure of victory when he twitted ahead of the fight that "tomorrow I am ready for anything. Let's go to war #Africa".
