Basigi still in charge of Hasaacas

Coach of Sekondi Hasaacas Yussif Basigi on Tuesday disclosed that he had not parted ways with his employers and remained the technical head of the Sekondi-based club.

In an interview with the Graphic Sports, Basigi explained that his absence was due to sickness contrary to media reports that he had parted ways with his employers. 

According to him, management gave him some time off to recover while his assistant acted in that capacity.

There were reports last week that Coach Basigi had been shown the exit due to the team’s poor performance and the double role he was playing as the head coach of the senior national team,

However, the Coach insisted that a group of people, who were envious of his exploits were behind the rumours.

“I don’t know what these people want from me but I know that they are jealous because they keep saying why is it that I am coaching Hasaacas and also in charge of the Queens?” he queried.
