Ashgold release Nuhu twins after only one season

Ghana Premier League side Ashgold have released twin brothers Fuseini and Alhassan Nuhu from their contarcts after a disappointing one-year stint with the club.

The twin brothers were handed their marching orders last Saturday which asked them to leave because they did not feature in the plans of Ashgold for the upcoming season.

A portion of the letter to the former New Edubiase United duo stated: “You have up to the end of the 2016/2017 for your contract with Ashantigold Sporting Club to expire but we do not have the intention to keep you anymore based on the fact that you do not feature in our future scheme of things and have therefore decided to put you on transfer with immediate”.

The brothers who joined Ashgold from New Edubiase United will also not receive the balance of their signing-on fees as part of the termination of the contract.

They played a combined 52 games in 60 games for the Elephants last season – with Fuseini playing 28 games and Alhassan playing 24.
