Ashgold have no case — Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe
Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, believes officials of Ashantigold are on a wild goose chase with their case in court.
The former Premier League club has injuncted the league after dragging the GFA to court following its demotion to Division Two after being found guilty of match manipulation during a Premier League match against Inter Allies two seasons ago.

Speaking to the Graphic Sports on the court case, Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe said he would be surprised, if the verdict went in favour of the petitioners because they had no case.
“I am surprised they went to court because this is a clear case of a fraudulent act. They have no case; their behaviour was bad and I will be surprised, if judgement is given in their favour.
“The officials should have been banned completely from football,” he said.
He said he would have proffered a stiffer punishment to the club owners, if he were the FA president and believed that whatever punishment was handed to the officials involved should serve as a deterrent to others who wanted to follow a similar route.
“The offence committed is serious and the punishment given to them is appropriate. I would have made it 10 years, if I were the FA president,” he stated.
The Hearts of Oak board member lamented how the injunction of the league had affected the participating clubs and the FA as a whole and believed it did not augur well for Ghana football.
He explained that while the FA was working hard to generate some interest in the league and make it incident-free, that was not how most stakeholders wanted it to end.
This, he said, prevented sponsors from supporting the league and, therefore, expected the court to speedily resolve the issues to allow the league to continue.
Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe urged Ashgold to desist from disturbing the league, knowing they had a bad case.
He warned that the consequences could be dire for the club, if the outcome of the court litigation did not favour them.
