Amponsah, Otoo ride high

Ghanaian youngster, Nana Opoku Ampomah, had every reason to be on cloud nine as he registered his name on the score sheet for his Belgian side, Waasland-Beveren in their 3-1 over Standard Liege in the Belgian Jupiler League.

Ampomah, who made his international debut for the Black Stars during their final World Cup qualifiers against Egypt last month, scored in what proved to cushion his side on the day in the 72nd minute.

Despite not scoring, Thomas Partey was influential in Atletico Madrid’s 1-0 over Real Betis in the La Liga, likewise Emmanuel Boateng who finally returned to the pitch for Levante but could not save them from their 1-2 loss to Athletic Bilbao.

Italy

In the Serie A, Kwadwo Asamoah featured for Juventus in their goalless draw with fellow title chasers Inter Milan, while Godfred Donsah played for Bologna despite their 2-1 defeat to AC Milan.

Bright Addae returned from suspension to play full throttle for Ascoli in their 1-1 stalemate with Virtus Entella in the Serie B.

France

Abdul Majeed Waris provided an assist in FC Lorient's 2-1 win over Sochaux Montbilliard in the Ligue 1, while Grejohn Kyei made a cameo appearance for Stade Reims in their 2-1 win at Niort.

Germany

Kevin-Prince Boateng lasted the entire match for Eintracht Frankfurt as they lost 0-1 to Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, but Daniel Opare missed Augsburg's 1-1 draw with Hertha Berlin through suspension.

Belgium

Nana Akwesi Asare was in action for KAA Gent as they defeated Bernard Kumordzi's Kortrijk 2-1 at home in the Jupiler League, while Samuel Asamoah played full minutes for Sint Truiden as they drew 1-1 with Zulte Waregem.

William Owusu Acheampong was included in Royal Antwerp's squad that beat Mouscron 1-0, while Dennis Appiah played the entire duration of Anderlecht in a 1-3 loss at home to Sporting Charleroi.

Croatia

Ahmed Said provided an assist that helped Hadjuk Split recorded a 2-0 win over Lokomotive Zabgreb with Maxwell Boadu Acosty enjoying 55 minutes for Rijeka in a 2-0 victory against Slaven Belupo.

Denmark

Ernest Asante returned from injury and lasted 67 minutes for FC Nordsjaelland as they ensured a 3-2 win over Hobro at the Right to Dream Park.
