Amponsah for Dubai Marathon
Ghana's marathon runner, William Amponsah, has targeted finishing in the top 10 when he competes in this year's Dubai Marathon slated for Friday.
Amponsah, who won the Asante Akyem Marathon last year, believes his participation in Dubai represents an opportunity for him to showcase himself to the international stage.

On April 17 last year, Amponsah finished top in the men's division during a 4km Asante Akyem Marathon with a Ihr 12mins finish to win the competition.
In a chat with the Daily Graphic, the 20-year-old lamented not having to train with a coach ahead of an international competition such as the Dubai Marathon and appealed for financial assistance in subsequent championships.
"I am targeting finishing in the top 10 at the Dubai Marathon when I compete on Friday but I believe there will be more to come from me in the future," he said.
"This is an opportunity to showcase my talent to the world and I want to grab it but my problem is that I train alone without a coach and need financial assistance to excel," he added.
He, however, thanked the Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Mr Baah Agyemang, for sponsoring his trip to Dubai and promised to make him proud.
