Ahmed Toure: Kotoko target joins Asec Mimosas

Bechem United striker Ahmed Toure has joined Ivorian giants Asec Mimosas on a two-year deal following the end of his contract with the Hunters.

The 29-year-old signed the deal with the former African Champions on Tuesday after agreeing terms with the club.

The Ivorian-born Burkinbe International left Bechem for Abidjan last week before finally penning a deal with the Ivorians.

Toure will replace Burkinabe striker Hervé Oussalé who cancelled his contract with the Abidjan-based club at the end of last season.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko striker enjoyed a good season with Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League after netting 13 times from 26 appearances.

Toure was part of the team that featured in the Confederation Cup but failed to go beyond the preliminary stages after they were kicked out of the competition by Al Ahli Tripoli.

Toure was one of the key targets for his former club Kumasi Asante Kotoko who must now look elsewhere for another striker.
