President committed to least-financed sports

Ussif, the Yagaba-Kubori MP who congratulated the newly-elected president of Africa Paralympic Committee, Samson Deen, and assured him of government’s support to ensure he successfully execute his mandate.

“I can assure you His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the republic is committed to seeing the least-financed sports grow and achieved laurels in Ghana, all geared towards the total promotion and development of sports”, he said.

Deen expressed profound appreciation to the minister and particularly President Akufo-Addo for their support when he decided to contest for the position.

He explained that the President approved the decision for him to contest for the position and wished him well during the election for which he was most grateful and promised to work hard to ensure the para sport is position at its rightful position on the continent.

The newly-elected president who was at the minister’s office to show appreciation was accompanied by the deputy minister of Youth and Sports, Evans Opoku Bobie, Chief director of the ministry, Alhaji Hafiz Adam, Director General of the National Sports Authority, Prof Peter Twumasi among many others.
