The ex-Black Stars manager revealed that he was concentrating on other things outside sports even though he has also been linked with some top local clubs as well.

The Kotoko legend made this known when he was asked about his future following reported interest in his services by the Sudanese national team, as well as some top clubs in the north African country.

Appiah, whose contract with the Black Stars was renewed after it expired in December, says he is focusing on his other engagements in the country.

"Now I am not interested in football; my concentration is on other things, although I don't know what will happen in the future.

"But I don't want to know anything about football," Kwasi Appiah emphasised.

Appiah was relieved of his position as Black Stars head coach in January 2020 after the Ghana FA decided not to extend his expired contract.

It was the 60-year-old's second spell as trainer of the Black Stars which he took over in April 2017.

Appiah was first appointed as head coach of the Ghana national team from April 2012 to September 2014, having led the Black Stars to a fourth place finish at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa and a group stage exit at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

He also handled Sudanese top-flight side, Al Khartoum Al Watani SC between December 2014 and April 2017.
