The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has threatened to place an injunction on the Black Stars' farewell match tomorrow, should the organisers fail to meet its demands.
The much-publicised ceremonial match involving the Stars and a local select side is billed for the Accra Stadium at 5p.m. tomorrow but GHALCA maintains that the event cannot take place until Primeval Consult meets them at the negotiation table.
GHALCA chairmain Alhaji Raji Ali exclusively told the Daily Graphic yesterday that the clubs' welfare body had given Primeval Consult up to the close of yesterday to reason with them or be restrained from going ahead with the much-anticipated game.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has sanctioned the historic farewell match which will see some selected choice players of local fans engaging the Black Stars in a ceremonial match but GHALCA believes that is not enough.
'The organisers have been ignoring all invitations to discuss the concerns of GHALCA and its members.
'This is purely a business venture and must be seen as such and they have me to resort to as the last resort,' the GHALCA boss complained.
According to Alhaji Raji, GHALCA simply wanted to know the financial details of the match; that all local players selected for the match must be insured and given allowances, as well as a percentage share of the proceeds for clubs whose players would feature in tomorrow's game.
'We have just secured an injunction from court and will serve them if they fail to compromise,' he warned.
'We can't be doing things as usual; it must change from now,' the GHALCA boss stated.
When contacted, the Chief Executive of Primeval Consult, Larry Opare Otoo, explained that the FA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, had decided to step in to resolve the matter.
However, Alhaji Raji insisted that until he heard from Nyantakyi with an undertaking to boot, nothing was going to change.
