Inter Allies recorded their first Premier League win of the season after a 1-0 success against giants Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium in Sunday's late kick-off.
A thunderous strike from Richmond Lamptey was what divided the two sides in a mouthwatering local derby.
The two teams created few goal scoring opportunities in the first half but Hearts looked refreshing to watch.
Hearts of Oak striker Abednego Tetteh was passed fit for his competitive debut but the Allies looked very solid in defence with Captain Hashmin Musah and Fard Ibrahim policing the forward.
Just after the hour mark, midfielder Richmond Lamptey unleashed a thunderbolt from 25 yards into the roof to win the day for the hosts.
Allies could have added the second on the 75th minute but Alex Aso who had been put through on goal slipped terribly inside the box.
The defeat leaves Hearts without a win this season and could mount pressure on coach Edward Nii Odoom.
