Police suspect match-fixing in Wednesday's Nigeria-Scotland match

Scotland's friendly against Nigeria this evening is understood to be the subject of a police investigation for match-fixing.

The National Crime Agency, which investigates serious and organised crime, is reported by the Daily Telegraph to have asked FIFA to issue an alert over attempts to fix the game at Craven Cottage.

A Scottish FA spokesman told Press Association Sport: “We are liaising with the relevant authorities and will prepare for the match as normal.”

The match forms part of Nigeria’s preparations ahead of the World Cup in Brazil which starts on June 12.
