Welbeck Abra-Appiah, Chairman of the PLB, at the launch of the league in Accra, yesterday, said the software aided his outfit in producing the fixtures for the league.

He said:  “This season’s fixtures were done with the support of the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA)’s new CMS software, which will help gather data on goals scored, registered players, cautions and assists”.

The Acting General Secretary of the GFA, Emmanuel Gyimah, also said the PLB had reviewed the composition of its board, which now comprises representatives of all the 16 clubs in the competition.

“The membership of the PLB has been reviewed; we are inviting all 16 premier league clubs to nominate representatives to serve on the board. This will be for one year so that we see how effective it is but so far, 14 out of the 16 clubs have complied with this directive”, he said.

The Marketing and Corporate Affairs Manager of First Capital Plus Bank, Nana Yaw Kesse, said his outfit was relieved by having in sight the start of the league after a three- month delay.
