Panathinaikos to part with Owusu-Abeyie

The Greek side are ready to pay off the Ghanaian winger in January although his contract expires next summer.

Ghana international Quincy Owusu-Abeyie is on his way out of Greek side Panathinaikos. The club has agreed to pay him off in January.

The winger-cum-attacker has a running contract with the former Greek champions until next summer but the club has decided to let him off as a free agent during the winter transfer window, Goal Ghana understands.

According to Voetbalzo, the amount which would be paid to the Ghanaian would be made in two tranches.

The club wanted close to 18 million Euros for the Dutch-born Ghanaian during the summer but Crystal Palace, Sunderland and Cardiff, who expressed interest in him could not afford the fee.
