Abdul Aziz Nurudeen ready to earn his stripes at Hearts

Ghana’s national under-23 team midfielder, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen, says he is looking forward to excelling in Hearts of Oak’s colours after joining them from Division 1 outfit, Vision FC, before the start of this season.

Nurudeen admits it has been very challenging, as playing at the highest level in Ghana football for the first time, especially at a big side like Hearts but he is bent on making his mark and helping the Rainbow club to win laurels.

"As a matter of fact, I am very glad to be playing in the Ghana Premier League, as it is my first experience at this level. it sometimes seems tough when I watch some of our games from the bench.  But I trust myself and I know I can do it when I begin to get more playing time. I will show my talent so everyone sees what I'm made of," Nurudeen told the Graphic Sports.

"I have a very big goal, and it’s to make a big name at Accra Hearts Of Oak and win trophies with them, especially the Ghana Premier League which we haven’t won for 10 years now."

The talented left-footed deep-lying playmaker further emphasised that he has set himself a personal target which is playing in Europe within three years and he would work assiduously towards it.

"The dream of every local player is to play in Europe and that is my dream also. I have my own aims and aspirations which is to shine here and move to Europe in the next three years or even earlier to play professional football. I know myself and what I can do," he added.

Nurudeen, 21, previously played for Madina Starmakers FC as well as Vision FC before being signed by the Phobians.

He was part of the Ghana Black Meteors team which failed to qualify for the postponed 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
