Premiership side and MTN FA Cup titlist, New Edubiase United, have landed a three-year sponsorship from mobile phone company, Telefonika.
The timely deal will see Telefonika providing New Edubiase with financial support, as well as branded jerseys and replica jerseys for the club’s supporters during the three-year period.
The president of New Edubiase United, Abdul Salam Yakubu, who disclosed this to the Daily Graphic yesterday, commended Telefonika for the wonderful support which, he said, was going to help the club a great deal.
“We thank Telefonika for their support and we promise to do everything possible to enable them to get the needed mileage for that huge investment,” the New Edubiase boss assured.
He was optimistic that New Edubiase would justify the confidence reposed in them by Telefonika by excelling in the coming seasons to attract a bigger sponsorship package.
He noted that the club had put the recent CAF Confederation Cup and FA Cup setbacks behind them and was bent on finishing well in the ongoing Glo Premier League.
The Telefonika sponsorship could not have come at a more opportune time than this after New Edubiase lost the SIDALCO sponsorship following the death of Mr David Lamptey.
