Electroland Ghana Limited, distributors of NASCO Electronics, has unveiled a sponsorship package to reward outstanding players at the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Cup of Nations which kicks off at the Cape Coast Stadium tomorrow.

Players who will be adjudged man-of-the-match in every game will take home Nasco Q6 mobile phones aside prizes to the overall best player, best coach and goal king.

The package will see NASCO partnering the headline sponsor, Fox TV and Multi Pac Limited, producers of Perla Mineral Water for the WAFU tournament slated for Cape Coast and the Ndoum Sports Stadium at Elmina from tomorrow to September 24.

At a short ceremony in Accra to announce the package yesterday, the Sales Manager of Electroland Ghana Limited, Vincent Azan-Gbiok, said his outfit was committed to helping unearth talents in the sport for the future, as well as develop the game.

Mr Azan-Gbiok noted that the package would mark the brand's entry into football outside the shores of Ghana since the competition involved other neighbouring African countries.

"We are committed to helping unearth talents in the sport for the future, as well as developing football in the country and this provides us the opportunity to reaching other parts of the continent," he said.

The Secretary General of WAFU, Jammeh E.K. Bojang, was pleased to have companies such as Electroland and Multi Pac Limited on board in their quest to improve African Football.

The President of WAFU B and the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi, said the sponsorship package would help the competition, especially when the tournament is in its rebranding state.

He added that the package would be a reference point to the players and the entire continent as they look forward to develop African Football.
