Mourinho hints at Real Madrid exit

Jose MourinhoJose Mourinho is already saying his farewells in Madrid according to the president of his son's football team.

Manuel Álvarez, who runs the Canillas team in the Spanish capital where Mourinho's son plays, said: 'Mourinho told us that next year he would not come and give a talk to our coaches because he would not be here.

“Was he being serious or joking? I couldn't really tell. If Mou goes it will be a great loss to Spanish football. I hope that Florentino (Perez, the Real Madrid president) can sort it out.”

Alvarez added: “Even if he is not here we would be delighted for him to come back and give another talk. The one he gave was sensational – it was like the coaches being given a Masters intensive in coaching. As far as we are concerned he is the No 1.”

And Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck has said he is open to any ideas concerning the club’s manager next season - including a sensational return for Mourinho.

Asked about possible successors to the club's interim manager Rafael Benitez, with Real Madrid's coach mentioned, Buck said: “I am completely open minded about it.”

Mourinho is a big supporter of Canillas and even missed the Ballon D'Or ceremony this year to watch his son train.

He is understood to donate close to €10,000 a year to the sports club founded in 1961, whose senior side play in a 3,500 capacity municipal stadium.

This season he gave a talk to all the coaches of the various age groups at the club but told Alvarez that he would not be able to do likewise the following season.

The story follows revelations in the Spanish press that various members of Mourinho’s domestic staff had been told that they will not be needed beyond this May.

Jose, it seems, is already cutting his Spanish ties as his third season at Real draws to a close.
