The Ghanaian signed a four-year contract with the Premier League side from Real Valladolid and is expected to join his teammates ahead of pre-season.

In an interview with the club’s official website, Salisu said he was willing to learn from the rest of the team as well as add his quota when the new season kicks off.

“It’s a very good club for me to develop my skills and to learn a lot as a young player and I’m very happy to join,” Salisu noted.

“Southampton has a fantastic history in developing young players and I hope I do my best to add to that group,” he added.

The 24-year-old will join compatriots Jordan Ayew, Christian Atsu, Jeffery Schlupp and Daniel Amartey among others in the Premier League.
