Maidens ready for Congo

Ghana's Under-17 female football team, Black Maidens, have arrived in Accra from their Prampram base to round off their preparation for Sunday's 2014 Women's World Cup qualifier against Congo Brazzaville in Accra.

The Maidens, now handled by  Augustine Adotey, have been training at Prampram for the past month and are in high spirits for Sunday's game.

The team held their first training session at the Ohene Djan Stadium and Coach Adotey afterwards told the Daily Graphic that they were ready for the game on Sunday despite the injuries to some key players.

"I'm satisfied with our preparations and we're ready for Sunday. We're just looking forward to a good game and win in our first game," he said.

The Maidens last Saturday won 7-0 against Central Regional champions Bafana Ladies in a training match in Accra.
