Premier League champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will embark on an ambitious search for domestic double titles on Sunday, when they clash with Medeama SC in the grand finale of the 2012/13 MTN FA Cup at the Accra Stadium.
The once-postponed showdown comes off exactly a week after Kotoko's glorious coronation as the 2012/13 Glo Premier League champions by the Premier League Board (PLB) at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi last Sunday.
In case of a win on Sunday, Kotoko will be spoilt for choice between participating in the CAF Champions League or the CAF Confederation Cup next year. And win or lose, Medeama stand a good chance of playing continental football next year.
That is not to say Kotoko will have things rosy as the Tarkwa-based side have what it takes to stretch the Porcupine Warriors just as they did in a league match recently, leading to Kotoko's home ban.
At stake is a GH¢30,000 cash prize and the FA Cup for the winner and GH¢15,000 for the runners-up.
According to the FA Cup committee, the gates will open at 10 a.m. to enable football fans to enjoy some entertainment before the big final.
