League champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, and MTN FA Cup lords, Medeama Sporting Club, will engage in a fierce clash for the annual Super Cup at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday.
The match comes two days after another super clash between Ghana and Zambia in a World Cup qualifier at the same venue.
Sunday’s Super Cup tie will be a repeat of the 2012/13 MTN FA Cup final in Accra which Medeama won 1-0.
The match will be an opportunity for the two sides to test their new players ahead of the coming season which kicks off the following week.
The tie will also be a good platform for coaches Mas-Ud Didi Dramani and Hans van der Pluym to assess their respective teams towards next year’s CAF continental campaigns. Kotoko will represent the nation in the Champions League, while Medeama play in the Confederation Cup.
