Reigning league champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko have received an amount of GH¢6,000 from a former board member, Kennedy Agyapong, Chairman of the Kenpong Group of Companies, as to enable the club beef up logistics.
At a brief ceremony at his airport office, where the players and management of the club called on him, Mr Agyapong, alias Cappuccino, advised the players to be very serious with their carrier.
“I started from a humble beginning, but perseverance, tenacity of purpose and the grace of God brought me this far,” said Mr Agyapong, told the Graphic Sports the donation was a token to help keep the club on its foot.
Kotoko’s head coach, Mas Dramani, on behalf of the playing body and officials, the businessman and philanthropist for his continued support for the club and hoped that the donation would motivate the management and the players to strive to attain greater laurels for the club.
