Defender John Boye Tuesday withdrew from Ghana’s 25-man team to play Egypt in a crucial World Cup play-off, after picking up an injury.
According to Live FM in Kumasi, Boye’s injury will require surgery to fix.
Some media reports mentioned Edwin Gyimah of Supersports United as a possible replacement.
Boye's injury means Ghana will play Egypt with a fresh central defensive pair, after Jonathan Mensah was also ruled out yesterday.
Boye and Mensah will now join Rabiu Mohammed and Isaac Vorsah on the treatment table ahead of the crucial Egypt play-off.
