Accra Hearts of Oak crashed out of the CAF Confederation Cup yesterday after a poor display which resulted in a humiliating 0-4 defeat to JS Saoura in Bechar, Algeria.
The Algerians therefore advance to the group stage with a 4-2 aggregate victory after overturning a 2-0 defeat in the first leg in Accra last week.
The defeat ended the Phobians’ African campaign, having exited the CAF Champions League on a 6-2 aggregate loss to Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) of Morocco in October.
JS Saoura drew level before the break with goals from midfielder Abdeljalil Saad and forward Oussama Bellatreche.
Bellatreche scored a brace on the night in the 48th minute to give the Algerians the lead.
JS Saoura stretched their lead in the 88th minute to dash Hearts' hopes of progressing to the money zone.
