Hearts’ new striker fired up to bang in goals
The newly signed goal poacher for Accra Hearts of Oak, Isaac Mensah, says he is ready to do exactly what he was contracted to do for the Phobians to help them regain their place in Ghana football.
Elated about his three-year deal with the premier club, Mensah also promised to give his all to help the club fulfil its target after his successful stint with Nkoranza Warriors in the Division One League.

Before joining Hearts, the teenage striker had a short spell with Liberty Professionals, but when the deal fell through at the last minute, he reverted to his Division Two side, Royal Sporting Club, until Nkoranza Warriors snapped him up last December to feature in the 2019/2020 season .
The young prodigy told Graphic Sports in an interview that his purpose of joining Hearts was to contribute his quota to the team as a goal scorer.
“As a young striker, pressure from the club is not too much for me. God is King; no pressure will overwhelm me. I will survive though they have a large following supporting the club,” he assured.
Mensah acknowledged that he had joined a big club but believed he would flourish in the rainbow club after signing a juicy contract last Wednesday.
He is currently cooling off at his Konongo base as he awaits the return of football in the country.
The 17-year-old player is confident of replicating his striking instincts in Hearts.
“The club knows what I am capable of doing, which is why they signed me into their fold,” he added.
He, however, urged the teeming supporters of Hearts to show him love as they had done to other players all this while to keep the Phobian spirit aliveas they looked forward to winning laurels in the future.
Hearts last won the Ghana Premier League in 2009 and are hoping to end the trophyless drought by revamping the current set-up with new players.
