GFA postpones five Premier League matches indefinitely

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has postponed five Premier League matches indefinitely due to the upcoming general elections on December 7.

In a statement issued on the GFA’s website, the association also explained that it decided to postpone the games to help Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold in their continental campaigns.

Matches such as Aduana Stars versus Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko against Great Olympics, Ashantigold versus King Faisal, Medeama against Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold’s visit to Bechem United have all been postponed.

“The Ghana Football Association would like to hereby inform Premier League clubs and stakeholders that five fixtures have been postponed indefinitely.

“This is because of the 2020 General Elections scheduled for December 07, 2020 as well as Asante Kotoko SC and AshantiGold’s involvement in the 2020/21 CAF Inter club competitions,” the statement said.
