The Black Stars that whitewashed the PharaohsThe rains are threatening to stop this all important game that must see either Ghana or Egypt plant one feet in Brazil 2014. It's been raining since 3pm, and the rains are getting heavy too. But so far the pitch at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi appears to comfortably accommodate the downpour.

The Black Stars in an all white workout attires, are out in the rain for their warm-up, and the fans are liking the spirit. Meanwhile the Egyptians are still indoors, preferring to keep everything to their chest. Even their line-up has been difficult to come by, leaving their journalists here to come out with their own different permutations.

Their outnumbered fans have the biggest banner - a huge flag of Egypt. And the countdown is on as the long waiting hours have now ceded space to the minutes, barely 30 of the lot left for kick-off. Visit our photo galleries.

Thankfully the rains have subsided and the two teams are ready to do battle.

Team inspection and national anthems are underway as all gets set for kick-off. The Egyptians are out in their traditional red tops over black shorts and the Black Stars in all white.

46' Game resumes. Muntari earns a freekick for Ghana

47' Kwadwo Asamoah brought down on the edge of the Egyptian box. But freekick is wasted. Corner kick to Ghana, but Egypt deal with it.

49' Andre Ayew goes down on the turf. Appears to be injured. 

50' Andre Ayew receives treatment on the sidelines. 

51' Ayew returns and instantly wins a freekick for Ghana. Muntari stands behind the ball

53' GOAL. Asamoah Gyan grabs a fourth goal for Ghana with a beautiful header. 

The Egyptian defence has struggled throughout the match to hold back the Ghana attackers.
