A total of 476 goals were scored from the 240 matches played in the 2013/14 Premier League season. But the average falls below the 511 goals recorded in the 2012/13 edition of the Glo Premier League.
This year’s figure puts the average at 1.9 goals per game, as against 2.1 goals per game last season.
The records also show that 184 games out of the total 240 games played resulted in wins and a total of 56 draws were recorded.
According to the statistics, the highest number of goals were scored in Week 14 which produced 25 goals with Weeks One, nine and 29 recording the least number of goals, 10 each.
Kotoko equal Hearts, Ashgold record
Asante Kotoko won the league title with 56 points to win in three consecutive times as Ashantigold and Hearts Of Oak previously. It should be noted that Hearts still hold the record as winners of the title for six consecutive times.
Incidentally, Kotoko won the league with the same number of points last season.
The team that won most matches was Kotoko, winning 17 out of 30 matches, while the team that lost most games was Amidaus Professionals, losing 17 out of 30 matches.
Sekondi Hasaacas scored the highest number of goals in the season (41 goals), while Bechem United conceded the least number of goals (21).
The team that conceded most goals (42) were Amidaus Professionals.
For the first time since 2006/07, all the three clubs promoted into the premiership during the season, namely Inter Allies, Bechem United and Hasaacas, survived relegation.

Berekum Chelsea became the only team that finished the season unbeaten at home but were also the only team that failed to get an away win.
Individual players’ records
The first player to score a goal in the season was Tamimu Muntari of Liberty Professionals. He scored in the eighth minute against Wa All Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The last player to score a goal was Asiedu Attobrah of New Edubiase in the 90+4 minutes against Hearts at the Accra Sports Stadium..
Augustine Okrah of Bechem United emerged as the top scorer with 16 goals, but trailed four goals behind last season’s top scorer, Mahatma Otoo of Hearts.
Sulley Mohammed of King Faisal registered the first hat-trick of the season in his sides’s 3-2 win over All Stars in Kumasi with Augustine Okrah scoring the last hat-trick.
