A week after winning Ghana’s top flight league, Kumasi Asante Kotoko will on Sunday attempt the double when they engage Inter Allies in the MTN FA Cup final dubbed ‘Day of Reckoning’ at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Kotoko, crowned winners of this year’s Premier League with a match in hand, will be seeking to end their 13 years wait for an FA Cup trophy. The club lost last year’s final to Medeama SC.
Though Inter Allies are strong outsiders, the Porcupine Warriors are keen on beating them and winning the trophy after losing out in the final to Nania FC and Medeama SC in 2011 and 2013 respectively.
The winner of Sunday’s final will be GH¢30,000 richer in addition to 25 per cent of the net gate proceeds, while the loser goes home with a GH¢15,000 consolation plus 25 per cent of the net gate proceeds.
The rates for the match are Popular Stand - GH¢3, Osu Stand - GH¢5 and VIP Stand - GH¢15, with each ticket attracting MTN credit.
