Essien Scores Debut La Liga Goal For Madrid

Michael Essien was among the goal scorers for Real Madrid on Saturday as the Ghanaian registered his debut goal for club and in La Liga.

The midfielder on loan from Chelsea helped Madrid to a 4-0 victory over Real Zaragoza at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Two goals in quick succession in the first half through Gonzalo Higuain and Angel di Maria gave Madrid a two-goal lead into the break.

In the second half, Essien and Luka Modric scored a goal apiece, their first goals since swapping the Premier League for the Spanish capital as Jose Mourinho earned his 100th win in charage of Madrid
