Cristiano Ronaldo back in full swing -

Cristiano Ronaldo got back to business with the Portuguese national team on Saturday out on the New York Jets' training pitches in Newark. He hadn't taken part in full training since the day before the Champions League final, 23rd May.

The forward looked in excellent shape during the session, being able to complete several high-intensity drills, including short sprints and shooting exercises, without exhibiting any signs of pain.

Ronaldo trained with the substitutes from Friday night's friendly against Mexico and was also joined by Raul Meireles, who has also just recovered from injury.

Pepe was unable to link up with the rest of the group, although he did take to the turf alongside the Portugal physios. Meanwhile, Sevilla goalie Beto stayed behind at the team hotel and is set to undergo an MRI scan to check out the extent of his muscle strain.
