Cote d’Ivoire humble hosts

Cote d’Ivoire left it late against host Namibia in their Group A encounter last Tuesday at the Sam Nujoma Stadium with Ines Tia scoring two late goals to ensure a 3-1 win.

Tia scored six minutes from time before taking the game beyond the host with her second of the night in added-on time to seal her side’s win of the tournament. Earlier, Estelle Nahi saw her lead cancelled by Zenatha Coleman midway through the first half.

It was an action packed game which could easily  pass for one of the hottest games at the championship thus far.

The Ivorians, who needed a win badly to boost their chances, got of well with captain Nahi who joined the team barely few days into game after her release by her Russian club, WFC Zvezda. She made her presence felt in the opening minutes.
