Complex Supporters Union of Ghana has promised to throw their massive support behind the local Black Stars when the WAFU tournament kicks off in Kumasi on November 21.
The union, which was formed in January 2012 to support all national teams, can now boast two branches in Kumasi and Accra comprising of 150 members.
In an interview, the Director of the Union, Mrs Jemira Mahama, said, “We realise most of the young ones are really interested in sports so we decided to bring them together through sports. So far, we have been able to support Ghana in two matches; the Ghana versus Zambia match and the recent Ghana versus Egypt encounter”.
Currently, the union is awaiting FIFA’s decision to decide whether they will be allowed to travel to Egypt to support the Black Stars, and is also seeking a merger with the various supporters unions to fully support Ghana at the upcoming WAFU tournament.
She added that the entire membership of Complex Supporters Union of Ghana wish to express their gratitude to Hon. Harry Zakkour for sponsoring their trip to Kumasi to support the Black Stars to victory against the Egyptians.
She also thanked other patrons such as Anita De Souza, Chris Ackumey, Nana Danso, Frederick Acheampong, Ebow Armah and Mr & Mrs Innocent for their support that came in various forms.
